What’s up gamers, this is Tyuno The Great. Well it’s that time of year again, Summer is just around the corner. School is out and the kids are free to play video games all day long. Usually during the summertime, they’re aren’t many games to play, but this year there are a few new big title coming to America. So with that being said, I’m here to list the top 5 video games for the Summer of 2012. But what will be the top video game of the summer?
Mario is back on the tennis court in the brand new game for the Nintendo 3DS, Mario Tennis Open. Its be a long time since we seen a Mario Tennis game. Most Mario games are great for fun multiplayer and Mario Tennis is no different. Players can get the chance to play one another around the world. You can never go wrong with Mario so Mario Tennis is perfect for the summertime with friends.
Now I know what you’re saying, Batman: Arkham City came out in 2011, why is this game on the top 5 list? Well you are right, Batman: Arkham City was one of the best games in 2011. Now, Rocksteady Studios have announced Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year for 2012. This edition is filled with every DLC plus a brand new DLC called Harley Quinn’s Revenge. The G.O.T.Y Edition also includes the Batman: Year One movie. Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition is jammed packed with content that will last for the summer.
One of my favorite gaming franchise of all time is Kingdom Hearts, so I was excited with Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be available for North America this July 31 in North America. Kingdom Hearts have always had a special place in my hearts and in hearts of fans cross the world. From what I learn, this game is supposed to be the link to Kingdom Hearts 3. If that’s true then Kingdom Hearts 3D is a must buy game this summer.
One game that I believe will be a surprise is Gravity Rush for the PlayStation Vita. Japan Studio have create some amazing games in the past, such as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Since the protagonist can use gravity to her advantage, I’m curious to see how the gameplay will work on the PS Vita. The visuals of Gravity Rush looks amazing and I can’t wait until it comes out in stores June 12, 2012
By far the top video game for this summer will be Lollipop Chainsaw. This game has so much hype behind it. It’s new, unique and it’s filled with pink and glitter. It’s strange to see a cheerleader wielding a huge chainsaw and killing zombie. Personally, I’ve been waiting to play this game because I am a fan of hack and slash type games. I can’t wait to play Lollipop Chainsaw, this will be my game for the summer.
