Bayonetta 2 On The Wii U! Why So Much Hate?

What’s up everyone, this is Tyuno The Great. On September 13, Nintendo held a special event announcing the release date and pricing of the Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo also revealed some new trailers for upcoming games for the Wii U. One of the announcements was the reveal of Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U. This announcement alone blew up on social media. This news got me hyped because I’m a fan and I’m even considering getting a Wii U now. This news got everybody excited… well not everybody. Believe it or not, there are people that are pissed off that Bayonetta 2 is coming out only for the Nintendo Wii U. They’re going to the internet and expressing their hate on this game. But here is my question for everybody, “why so much hate?”

I just don’t understand why gamers are angry that Bayonetta 2 is coming out on the Wii U? This morning, I was on N4G.com and there was a article from GoNintendo explaining and showing how gamers are bombarding Platinum Games with hateful messages on how they hate Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U. There’s even a Youtube video showing negative comments about Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U.

I can’t believe people are going crazy angry because Bayonetta 2 is on the Wii U. I would assume that people would be happy that there’s a Bayonetta 2 coming out in the future. Remember when there was a rumor that Bayonetta 2 was cancelled, people when bananas over the news. Now that the game is officially coming out, people are hating it. What’s the big deal,what is it that I’m missing here? For years, many gamers was trolling on the internet that Nintendo needed more hardcore games for their console, now that Nintendo have a hardcore game like Bayonetta coming to the Wii U people are still throwing tantrums all over the internet. What if Platinum Games revealed Bayonetta 2 on a different console, would you be angry over that? Are gamers mad because there’s going to be a new Bayonetta game or are they mad because it on the Wii U? Why so angry, Nintendo just revealed a teaser trailer showing no gameplay or cinematic cut-scenes. Why are gamers judging a game that’s not even out yet? Why are so many people hating on the Wii U? It going to be a best seller for the holiday and I bet half the gamers that are trolling the internet are going to be the ones trying to get the Wii U.

Overall, it’s wrong to be angry over a game that haven’t even coming out yet. I think it’s a smart business move on Nintendo for bring Bayonetta 2 exclusively on the Wii U. Of course you’re gonna have your haters, but I believe Bayonetta 2 will be a good game for the Wii U. We just have to wait and see what Nintendo and Platinum Games have in store in the future. First Bayonetta barely sold over 1.3 million. More people cosplayed Bayonetta than bought it. The only reason the game is being released is that Nintendo is probably the only company willing to produce it. And that's just to buff their launch lineup. 

My question is does Nintendo really think this is console-seller? And are people willing to buy a Wii-U  to play it?

@chill_eye_am Bayonetta sold more than 2 millions man. On the PS3 alone sold more than 1 million!

@chill_eye_am I'm buying a Wii U for Bayonetta 2.  Of course there are other games on the system I'm interested in (such as ZombiU) but just the fact that Bayonetta 2 is coming to the system makes it a definite purchase for me.

So you're ok with dishing out 350€ to play a game that should have naturally come to you, because we PS360 owners made the success of the first game. People can't be happy when stabbed in the back.

@Ryuz4ki57 Halo was originally a game for Macintosh when Microsoft bought up Bungie and moved development to the original Xbox.  Games switching consoles is just something that happens from time to time in the industry.  

Without Nintendo there might not be a Bayonetta 2, it might  feel like you got stiffed because the game isn't coming to the console of your choice but these things happen.  The Wii U is looking to be a great console and for the time being it's getting all the triple-A releases that the game industry has to offer, maybe it's time to give a new console a try before you complain that Bayonetta 2 isn't coming to consoles that are over half a decade old.  

I mean regardless what the power debates say, Bayonetta 2 could be buttery smooth thanks to all that extra RAM.

@mikaaisu don't make me laugh : what's with all the AAA games coming to WiiU? The thursday conference presented only 2 new games! There are COUNTLESS games that well be released on PS360 and not on WiiU, including very recent announcements like Remember Me, Lightning Returns, Watchdogs or MGS Ground Zeroes. PS3 and 360 are still in a dominant position and the Bayonetta 2 exclusivity (if any) matters very little in the bigger picture. Bayonetta just shot herself in the foot, that's all.

@Ryuz4ki57 all of those titles are unreleased, and could just as easily have wii u versions announced. I would be surprised if MGS Ground Zeroes, and Watchdogs didn't eventually have wii u versions announced. As for the others I don't really see them as being major titles. The whole FFXIII trilogy seems to be disconnected from the core FF fan base, and remember me just doesn't seem like it will live up to expectations although since it is already multiplatform I dont think it is impossible to say it too could show up on wii u.

@Ryuz4ki57 How do you feel you was stabbed in the back? You can still play the game on a new system. What if it was  released on the  new PS or Xbox console?

@TyunoTheGreat Well it would be hell better and pretty logic by the way. Like Whishing said Bayonetta sold more than 1 million on PS3 globally, and in Japan 88% of the sales were made in the 3 first weeks, before any price cut. We had every right to get B2 on existing consoles. And I'm NOT happy to be forced to buy a system I had no interest in just to play Bayonetta.
