No Story Mode In The New Super Smash Bros. Game? Are You Serious?

I’ve been a huge Super Smash Bros. fan for years and I loved playing the game on every Nintendo console. When Nintendo announced a new Smash Bros. game for the Wii U, I was jumping with joy. But now news are spreading around the internet that the new Super Smash Bros. will not include a story mode. After hearing this news, I have to wonder what the hell is Nintendo think?

Super Smash Bros is awesome and the newest installment is going to be great on the Nintendo Wii U. I don’t understand why Nintendo wouldn’t add a story mode in the game. Some sources on the internet have stated that the main reason that there’s not going to be a story mode is because some of the cut-scenes from the game was leaked on the internet.

I think that have to be the laming excuse to not include a story mode. Don’t get me wrong, it sucked that some parts was leaked out on the internet, but come on. It 2013, almost everything get leaked on the web. Couldn’t the developers just rearrange or changed the story so it could be different? Not adding a story mode is a wrong move on Nintendo’s part. In SSB Brawl, we had an amazing story mode called “Subspace Emissary” and I had funny playing it. Today most fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive 5 have a story mode for gamers who plays single player. Personally, I mostly play single player in fighting games and having a story mode is good for me because it doesn’t make the game boring or repetitive.

I really hope Nintendo will reconsider this decision and bring back the story mode for their upcoming Super Smash Bros. game. But I want to hear from you guys, “How do you feel about no story mode in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game?” Tell me in the comment section below. That’s all I have to say for now. Until next time, “Be Easy and Stay Epic!”

I dont think it matters. The story mode on the wii version took up so much of the disk space that you could already tell the gameplay was not the main focus as it should be.

Forget the story mode. Subspace was a nice touch, but not a staple. Gameplay focus should be key.

@CodaGillespie agreed

think of how many cool game modes there could have been in brawl if the SSE wasnt there
