What’s going on gamers! This is Tyuno The Great. 2013 is about to come to an end. We’ve seen a ton of great games to come out this year. So I decide that for the remainder of the month, I’m going to list my “TOP 5 of 2013″. For my first TOP 5 list, I want it to be dedicated to the best gaming handheld device today, The Nintendo 3DS. We can all agree that the Nintendo 3DS has been Nintendo most successful gaming tech this year. There been a ton of great games to come out on the little two-screen handheld, so many that it was hard for me to choose 5 of the very best from this year. So I came up with my TOP 5 best game for the Nintendo 3DS for 2013.
Nintendo has marked 2013 as the “Year of Luigi”. This year was dedicated to the loveable green-overall plumber. Luigi basically took over the Nintendo brand. He starred in many games in 2013 on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. One of them was Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. The ghost are back and are terrorizing the crap out of Luigi. This was a fans most-wanted sequel, and it’s now available only on the 3DS.
Fire Emblem: Awakening demonstrated how a good RPG can be played on a small screen like the 3DS. Fire Emblem has always been an old fashioned-RPG game, but this game brings new life to the series. It’s cut-scenes are great to watch on the small screen and the gameplay is simple so newer fans, like myself, can get in and engage the story. I can see more Fire Emblem games coming to the handheld in the future.
You can never go wrong with The Legend of Zelda series. This franchise is a legend itself with it’s amazing story and unique gameplay. The latest entry in the Zelda timeline, “A Link Between The Past”, continues to give the fans an action-packed quest. This game give player the freedom to explore the land to find treasure. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between The Past is a must own game to add to your collection.
Animal Crossing is a special game that can be played by anyone, no matter what gender or age you are. This is a very addictive game to both hardcore fans and gamers who never played a Animal Crossing game. Animal Crossing: New Leaf feels like another world that gamers can get into and actually interact with almost everyone around the world. The Animal Crossing series will always bring new ways to live and New Leaf is a prime example of it.
I’m a huge Pokemon fans so this may be bias, but I have to choose Pokemon X and Y as the number one Nintendo 3DS game of 2013. Pokemon have been around since the late 90′s, yet it still brings new ways to play, battle, and collect Pokemon. Pokemon X and Y introduces several new features which gives the series a new identity to the 3DS. This game doesn’t feel like the old Pokemon that I played back on the Gameboy. This game has broke so many records this year and I predict that Pokemon with continue to dominate the 3DS and all handheld devices in the future.
So these are my Top 5 games for 2013. To be honest, the Nintendo 3DS has been the best gaming device for Nintendo and the 3DS will continue to bring new amazing games in the near future. Now of course this list was based from my opinions. If you didn’t agree with my TOP 5 list, then I encourage you to create your own TOP 5 list of Nintendo 3DS games of 2013 in the comment section below. That’s all I have to say for now. Until next time, “Be Easy and Stay Epic!”
